KidsGive is celebrating its first 15 years as an educational program associated with Lawrence University. Our mission is to  to educate students in the U.S. about African life and cultures as well as to promote informed giving while providing children in Sierra Leone and The Gambia with the opportunity to learn and become the next great leaders of their generation.

We achieve this mission through strong partnerships with schools and communities in Sierra Leone and The Gambia.  The KidsGive scholarship fund pays for children from low-income families to attend one of our partner schools.  KidsGive also promotes arts, sports,  and health-related programs; we also fundraise for infrastructure development projects, including water wells and school buildings.

 

In the United States, KidsGive teaches informed giving to middle and high school students. We also sponsor community engaged learning experiences for students attending Lawrence University; they have have the opportunity to travel to an African country and connect with our partner schools through volunteerism and/or academic projects.
